my link to the outside world is gone. hope its fixed soon, I've had to make parenting decisions on my own, how do you work out what size disposable nappies your skinny toddler needs anyway, when shes been in cloth permanently for well over 2 years, hmm

Lin - wanted to pass on that our really bad patch seems to have passed. R went to bed last night at 8, woke at midnight for a wee and then slept through til 6.30, and that's happened a couple of timed this week. Looks like we might have turned a corner, so just thought I'd pass it on as moral support in a "this too shall pass" sort of way. Hope yours is doing better too. RR xx

Eli, size 4! Good for a long thin beanpole of a 2.5 yr old here. Hurry back forum, FB just doesn't cut it and there are so many life/parenting decisions I need collective opinions on.

thanks toogoodoo, thats what i got, they sort of fit, look very odd though! though her in pants is even funnier as even the tiniest we could find are still huge round legs and bum (think ballooning) so really don't help on decency stakes when rolling about playing! My top tip, explain to child to push pants down not pull them down, makes much more sense when you think about it! I had to change her pj bottoms to ones that barely covered her knees when in disposable, everything else fell down!

I really thought it was my pc playing up for a while :( I really need the recipe for wakey wakey cakes too - think I can remember most of it but probably best wait till the forums back up again so I don't make a horrible mess! I hope its sorted out soon, for everyone's sanity :)

As far as I remember it was a half banana, 20g cornflakes, 2 weetabix and enough milk to give it a good cement consistency - I think about 100ml - but it might have been 200. My brain isn't in good working order at the moment.

I copied the Wakey Wakey Cakey recipe, fearing exactly this: that one day the site would be down and I'd have no means of cooking anything at all, and we'd all have to subsist on beans and crumpets until it was back online.

Wakey Wakey Cakey – makes 6

2 weetabix
20g cornflakes
100ml milk
1 small banana
1 small fairy-cake tin
butter or olive oil for greasing

1. Preheat oven to 190C (or 170 for fan ovens) and grease the tin.
2. Mix together one of the weetabix, milk and cornflakes, crushing cornflakes in the process until you have a paste.
3. Mash the banana into the cereal mixture until smooth, then add the second weetabix. You should have something with a sticky, cement like consistency.
4. Divide into six and spoon into the greased tin, pressing down with a spoon so that you have six little discs of cereal mixture. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and turn out onto a cooling rack.

RR -that's fab news. The girls allowed me to finally go to sleep at 1:30am, DD2 had a half hour bot of grumbling from 4:30 to 5:00 but - miracle or miracles - went back down for another hour.

Not a bad night by our standards :-(
