Re: Re: Welcome to Baby Led Weaning - two friends, two babies, no spoons...
by Aitch
oh Cat, thanks so much for that. funnily enough i was speaking to the mother of a breast-refusing baby today and found myself making a good case for 'why formula is a good thing'. it felt funny doing it because of my own position but when you see someone going through the horrors of it all you just feel so awful for them... so thank you, you are right, i am just going to remind myself of the amazingly positive infant mortality rates we are lucky to have in the fortunate West, and bollocks to what anyone else thinks. AND i'll try again to breast feed next time (if we are so blessed...) As regards fish, Babybird has enjoyed fresh tuna, which have flakes big enough to grab hold of (although the mercury contained therein is probably rotting her brain right now.) Oh, and lemony poached salmon, which was also a hit. i was thinking of investigating home-made fishcakes for things like haddock etc. Or maybe M&S ones, lord knows.
