well, on another website (where i don't go by the name of miss polly had a dolly - it's babybird's favourite song) i asked about the salt thing and loads of women came back and told me to chill about it. evidently, so long as you are confident that you aren't adding salt to your home-cooked food, and as long as you do cook at home, then it's best not to worry too much. i don't necessarily like to put it on toast, though, as the bread can be salty, so i most often give it on rice cakes. Babybird is about 7.5months as well, born on the 16th Dec. Can't really believe it's the same baby...
