The Weeble had pear today - his first solid food! I cut it into eighths and tried leaving some skin on the bottom of a bit, which he definitely found easier to hold, but then he tried to stuff that bit into his mouth and I panicked - a bit. All in all it went pretty well, though; we think he swallowed about 1/32nd of a small pear. He much prefered chucking it about, and was thoroughly disgusted that it didn't make a loud noise when slammed onto the tray of the high chair. Tomorrow - sweet potato! and carrot! and maybe mango (if Mummy doesn't eat it - LOVE mangoes!)
