what kind of apples do you give your baby? we've not braved the apple yet... as regards the drool, i'm sure that you are right, but i am also interested in why they create lots of drool while gagging... i bet it's on purpose, to help clear any obstruction. honestly, the longer i have babybear the more i am amazed at how amazingly her body works.
