Re: Boomer turns 1
by Moomin
And a Happy Birthday to Boomer, too. I'm very emotional about stopping breastfeeding. As you might have read, I stopped feeding Minky in the day and she's now down to morning and night. She doesn't ask for it during the day and sometimes has a wee bit of cows milk (although I don't think it does her eczema any good). I have no idea how to drop the morning and evening feeds though. She's fine in the morning when she's with her Dad, but gets hysterical when she sees me. The same at night, he'll read a story but as soon as I'm there she clambering on for a feed. I'm going to have to stop soon. I'm tired. I'm a stone lighter than I was when I got pregnant. We want another baby but I've still not had a period (sorry, far TMI). I'm crying now because I don't want to stop feeding her but I can't physically keep going. I've enjoyed breastfeeding so much and I'm not sure that dairy is really a viable alternative for her. But I need a plan for stopping. Sorry, I don't know where this is going. I guess I want Minky to choose to stop, but to do so soon! I don't want to force it on her like I did with the afternoon feed. Will this magically happen at a year? We shall see...
