Rowan , I got these sores too which are really painful and got infected too. I don't know if you saw the Boomer turns 1 post as I hypothesised that these are part of the natural development of the wee ones jaw muscels and mouth movement as they move from sucking to chewing and these sores in themselves are a indication that the weaning porcess is on its way to completion. Pain the boob though! Oh and btw Moomin, please try and remember you have done/ are doing a wonderful job - it's hard I know - I'm only just nearly out of 'i'm a bad mother for stopping breastfeeding' thing.
