Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Allergies Thread - Advice from mums of allergicky babes

ok, my turn to ask for advice Josh has a cows milk intolerance. the dr said i could try him with milk around his first birthday. he will be 1 on tuesday so im just wondering whats the best way to go about it. when hes had something with milk in in the past he has had what seemed to be bad stomach pains, he screamed for ages, we had horrendous nappies, went from 1 or 2 poos a day to 7+ and they were really watery and horrible and we also had excema flare ups. i dont want him to have to suffer these symptoms again so im a bit scared of trying him with anything with milk in at all. he still has excema even now, altho its nothing like as bad as it was before we knew about the dairy problem, it didnt take me long to figure it out but took a while for the hospital appointment to get it confirmed. hes not had anything with milk in it to my knowledge since he was about 7 months old, except for the corner of toast he pinched from me the other day that i had put proper butter on. this has got rambly now, i think what im asking is, whats the best food to try first?
