Re: When Is Weaning Over?
by Anonymous
I still don't think of dd as completely weaned, even though she's 15 months. I guess that to me fully weaned means no more breastfeeding (she's still having bm twice a day), her actually being prepared/able to eat meat, which I'm guessing will happen once she has a few more teeth (only 4 at present), and me being able to give her her meals confident that they won't end up on the table/floor. We have odd days where she'll eat every meal and snack nicely, devouring whatever is put in front of her, and using her fork and/or spoon very competently, and those days I think we've cracked it, but there are other days where I need to get the vacuum cleaner out straight after the meal, as the mess is too much for the dustpan and brush. I reckon by the time she goes to school I'll be able to confidently say that she's weaned.
