Re: Snacks?
by Anonymous
It's really interesting and confirms that every baby is so so different. Although it seems that from a lot of the responses above the babies are similar ages, the daily 'routines' vary greatly (and even more so from 'the books'). I must admit to not seeing a HV for quite a while now, and sometimes wondering if I'm giving enough of a variety of foods, but heavens to betsy....I can honestly say that the Pickle's favourite foods are poles away from the puree fed babies I know. She is a very happy energetic baby who has days when she scoffs the lot and days when she doesn't (sounds a bit like me really). I do find myself comparing notes regarding daytime naps, but I'm trying hard to stop that and just let it be. She is 11 months and has now started to use a fork - a say 'use' in the broadest sense, she tries very hard to eat her yoghurt with a fork but I'm not going to complain it kept her quiet for nearly half an hour. The concentration........ Not many puree fed babies have that ability. So thank you for the replies about the snacks, I will just continue to experiment with what is the right way for the Pickle. I LOVE BLW!!! (if only I could say the same for the dentist.....off there next.....yuck)
