yep, i believe you are effectively doing exactly that, lol. i wonder why? perhaps the maltodextrate in most processed hummous really adds a kick? or perhaps you're supposed to use up left-over home-made hummous by making more hummous in burger form? who knows? it must be the different textures they're after, i wonder if you could skip the original hummous and just portion it out to one finely blended and one not so?
