ah well that's the thing about american sites, they don't leave big gaps for new paras so i largely find them impossible to read. i can see kellymom's point, in that there's no research on BLW that is majorly conclusive, but the bit about those of us with the 'bit between our teeth' having no regard for (er, our children's) safety is a bit insulting, i suppose, lol. It was i who blooming well heimliched a child choking on a grape in the park a while back... had his mother more regard for her child's safety she'd have been the one doing the infant resus course, not me. as it was, she wasn't as spectacularly grateful as she might have been, lol, and ushered her purple, gasping infant away as fast as she could... Choking, as i've said Many Times Before, is something that all parents should be cautious about, as puree-feeding won't help anyone very much if your kid grabs his pal's grapes in the swingpark. an infant resus course, and being confident in telling the difference between a gag and a choke, will.
