I can't remember, to be honest. fairly early on. in fact i have a feeling that she just nicked DH's sandwich one day and it was game on. I've had another thought as well... another non-cheffy thing done in the microwave... you know those frozen salmon steaks you buy in Marks? cost a blithering fortune but there you are. well, if you are feeling spectacularly lazy then just cut a hole in the pack (they're all separately packaged) put it in a bowl and whack it on for, if memory serves, three minutes. doesn't stink the place out because it's done in the micro and dd absolutely loves it, will easily trough down a whole one for lunch. i should say that while i'm making lunch she tends to eat some carrot or cucumber while loafing around whinging about how hungry she is. so her vegetable intake isn't bad actually.
